Philosophy of Education

First and foremost, I believe that all children can learn and bring something unique and special to each class.  Teachers are faced with the daily challenge of ensuring that all of their students get the best possible education available.  It is my desire, as an educator, to make sure that each and every student that walks through my classroom door has been given the best education possible in an atmosphere that is safe, comfortable, welcoming and fosters growth.
As teachers, especially in the special education field, we encounter numerous challenges and are required to play multiple roles.  Many times we must facilitate the role of the teacher, mother, caretaker, nurse, nutritionish, all the while teaching the academic standards.  No one said teaching was easy!!!
Helping students achieve success and overcome some of the adversities they face is why I do what I do.  These children are our future and we must make sure they are prepared as the step out into the "real world".
